1) Up to 10 photos that fit the theme. Submit digital files, negatives or slides for 11x14 ($6.95) or 11x16 ($7.95). When ordering online, please put "photo contest" in special instructions at check out. There is an entry fee of $3 per photo.2) Proceeds benefit the Tucson Junior Strings, which will receive half of the entry fees.
3) Dates for entry are April 1-30, 2010. Deadline ends on the 30th at 6pm.
4) Prizes are Jones Photo gift certificates: $100 for 1st, $75 for 2nd, $50 for 3rd. Ten honorable mentions will also receive ribbons.
5) NEW! A new award is now available. Come into our Main Store (2901 N. Country Club) between May 3rd-8th to cast your vote for the People's Choice Award.

1) Our photo contest is offered quarterly. The deadline for the winter contest is January 31, spring contest is April 30, summer contest is July 31, fall contest is October 31. In the event that one of these dates falls on a Sunday, the deadline will be extended to Monday. Entries will only be accepted during the month of the deadline (i.e. summer entries can be turned in between July 1 and July 31, etc.).
2) Each quarter has a different theme. Entries not adhering to the theme will not be considered. Either color or black & white images are acceptable.
3) Entrants must submit a negative, slide, or digital file, which Jones Photo will print as either 11x14 or 11x16. Film should be 35mm, 120 or APS; digital images should be on CD or memory card. Enlargements for the contest are done at a discounted price: $6.95 for 11x14 or $7.95 for 11x16. Color or tone and density will be at our discretion unless a guide print is submitted at the time of the order.
4) Digitally manipulated/altered images are not acceptable. Standard corrections done in the computer, such as cropping, dust spotting, and contrast adjustment are ok.
5) Each photographer may enter up to 10 photos per contest. There is an entry fee of $3 per picture. Half of these fees will be donated to a local charity, whose work is related to the theme of that quarter’s contest. See “proceeds benefit” on the contest flyer for the name of the charity.
6) Each contest will have a first, second and third place winner, plus 10 honorable mentions. These 13 winning photos will be displayed at Jones Photo’s main lab (2901 N. Country Club) until the next contest. Prizes are a $100 processing certificate for first place, a $75 processing certificate for second place and a $50 processing certificate for third place. The decision of the judges is final and certificates cannot be exchanged for cash.
7) While entries will be returned on request, they will initially be displayed at the Jones Photo store they are submitted to. Therefore, all returned prints will have small pinholes in the corners and may exhibit minor handling marks. There will be no reprints due to minor imperfections from handling.
8) The following persons are ineligible and may not enter:
(a) Jones Photo employees and their immediate family.
(b) Full-time professional photographers (anyone who earns more than 50% of their income from photography).
